Queen identification? Dallas, TX USA - May 22nd

I caught her in the middle of a Walmart parking lot at around 8pm in Dallas. Took her home and put her in a test tube set up and she started laying eggs right away! She's about 5 /16" or 8mm long.

Most likely Solenopsis invicta, but if she is really that dark, it could be one of the color forms of Solenopsis xyloni. Texas is one of the few places where these species overlap after RIFA eradicated S. xyloni to the east.
