I was lucky enough to find a beautiful llttle princess! I couldn't believe she started having her eggs after just 2 days of darkness in my drawer! I can't wait to get the AC Starter Settup! I believe she is some kind of Formica. Maybe Solonopsis Invicta? Any and all help identifying her would be Great! There are a lot of species around where I found her. Carpenter ants and California fire ants were popular! I had some issues loading the images but here is a link to imgur where they are! My new Queen! https://imgur.com/gallery/fZpwAdR Thank you so much for your time!

If she's laying eggs, then she's no longer a princess, she's a queen!

I totally can't believe it! She was in a camping trailer that's been on the property for 2 weeks! I went to lay down and go to bed after an evening of not finding anything and BOOM! There she was no more than 2 feet from my head running around on my backpack! Just goes to show, nature doesn't always work on our time-line! :D
