Small desert workers ID

Another colony I discovered in the dry rocky Mojave desert, harvesting a crushed m&m.

They are 2-3mm long and have a surprisingly painful bite. It's far from unbearable but I didn't expect to feel pain at all. Very interesting.
They are also very fast, making clear photos difficult.
Any ideas on the genus? Maybe even a species?

I think you might be right. That's really cool. I don't think they're truly honeypot ants but being in the same genus is cool.

It would all depend on size but considering the size of the m&m they must be about 2-3 mm

This is Dorymyrmex, possibly D. bicolor.
