This queen has 9-10 workers and thought an ID would be useful

You need to have clear pictures of the queen as well as measurements.

Added some more photos to the original link, The workers are about 2-3mm and the queen 4-5mm

i kind of looks like lasius but since i'm not experienced it is most likely wrong :) :lol:

To me, it looks like Lasius alienus, Neoniger, or niger, can you please check your measurements again, Lasius queens tend to be 7-8 millimeters. We need the date and approximate time to help us further identify her.

The Queen is roughly 7mm (my test tube was playing tricks on me before) And she was caught in January on a hot sunny day.

Did you catch the colony or queen during nuptial flight?

Either Paratrechina Lonchicornus,Or A Trachymyrmex,Or Temnothorax.
Keeping ants for 6 years now.

Current Species: Camponotus pennsylvanicus, Camponotus decipiens,Camponotus snellingi Solenopsis invicta,Nylanderia sp,Brachmyrmex patagonicus,Pheidole obscurothorax,Pheidole moerens,Pachycondyla harpax
