Whoops I didn't mean to say prenolepis imparis for #2! I meant #1! Sry!
It does look like it, however it is way too big! #1 is 13mm long, Winter ants are generally at most 9mm long.
I also can't find a carpenter ant that looks like it. Its gotta be some sort of Formica, only ones that are that big (excluding camponotus) but I cant ID it properly.

Reply to the one saying # 3 was Novomessor. I live in Washington State, western side. There are no deserts here. It looks the same as # 6, caught them on the same day in the same area. So they should be Myrmica, however I cant ID the species of really any of my ants.

# 8 is either Modoc or pennsylvanicus. Cant tell for sure. I will get better pics of this one shortly
How r ur pics so good?! I can't get mine anywhere close to urs! It just gets all blurry when I zoom in!

Queens 2 and 4 are Formica argentea, I'm pretty sure. Also, queen 8 is a Camponotus species. My best guess would be Camponotus pennsylvanicus. Formica and Camponotus are easy to keep. Just a warning, though, if you didn't know already, both can inflict a nasty bite, and can spray formic acid into the wound. But it's not that bad, not like being stung by a fire ant or anything like that.
