What species of ant is nuptial in Oct and November

Are there any chances i can find a queen in October or November. I live in Arkansas, USA

You can always look for ants in wood, logs or branches just pull the bark off and slowly dig into it. You can pull moss off the ground around trees or on wood, and find ants nesting in that.

Of course, waiting for a nuptial flight has less potential to disrupt the habitats of organisms other than ants, including amphibians (many of which are threatened).

Most ant species dig very deep, and it is extremely difficult to find the queen.
