I caught the queen and workers 2 or 3 days ago. The were in a nest with a couple hundred. I basically moved the queen the worker and all the brood into my enclosure. So october in arkansas.

Yeah.... but There are a lot more species that are black small and glossy....I always wait for pics before making guesses. Beginners will often try to do research on their own and make a false identification. But it's fine ot help them narrow down I guess :)

I am really curious now. I hope he is able to crop and upload the images to imgur, Flickr, or photobucket so we can see them.
