Just caught these tonight. Looks similar to Tetramorium, except gaster is pointy and they are bigger.

Location: suburb sidewalk close to ravine
Length: 8mm
Not a lot of pictures, both are still very fidgety.

Yup! That's crematogaster for sure. They've been everywhere in the GTA recently.

Crematogaster lineolata, based on the hairiness of the mesosoma.

I would appreciate more pictures of the profile of her thorax, just to be sure.
C. cerasi has hairs on there too, but way fewer, and in a specific pattern.
