I found what I think is a queen ant can someone help me out to make sure that it is a queen and what kind it is thank you for any help

I found this under a rock and think it’s a queen. What Kinde is it it was found in Alabama

What ant is this it is about 1cm at most I caught it about an hour ago I know its not a queen just wondering what species it is

Your queen also looks like one of mine, and we both live in the same area. I’m about to make a separate post where we can (hopefully) both get these identified.

Forgive the crap pic, only have the cam on my smartphone and she isn't very big (8mm at most, red & black with a red fading to black gaster).
What's throwing me off is that she has a squarish head.
