Hey so I found this girl today, and I have no idea what she is!
Ok, so I'm fairly certain she isn't a queen, simply a worker, but I'd still Like to know:
1. Is she a queen?
2. What genus/and or/ species?
3. Are they rare or unknown?
Found in NSW, Australia on 31.7.17
After heavy rain.
She is between 5-7mm long.
Unidentified ants, help?

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Hmm, Yeah now that I think about it it can't be Tetramorium. I have a colony of tetramroium and while the workers look like your ant, they are 3-4 mm long... yeah idk! Someone else is probably better to figure out exact speciesJackPayne wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2017 10:30 pmAh no issue,didn't expect she was a queen, but as far as I know, we don't have tetraomorium!?idahoantgirl wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2017 10:18 pmWorker. sorry!
