Found today while hunting queens?

Ok again no clue so I thought I'd ask my fellow ant lovers! Plus still at work.

Caught today, 530pm, here in Tuscaloosa Al.

That's what I thought too but they are pitch black in comparison. Solenopsis are a reddish and it really shows between to two. LOL would make sense. Oh well they will die anyways.

I am really bad with identifying male ants. I do suggest looking at this page though. All of the species found in Alabama.

Yea if I hadn't already seen what the fire ant males look like I would doubt it. But Hey We'll know in a few weeks. If they are males they will be for sure dead in the TT's. ;) I am still a beginner and always open to advice! You can never learn enough and you can never learn everything! And thanks for that link!!
