Is there a quick and easy way to identify a tetramoruium ant? I'm constantly looking for queens around sidewalks. I see lots of tiny black ants but, are they tetramorium or other ants? I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Is a 'tiny black ant' a tetramorium? Or Argentine ant? Or formica? Google can be frustrating sometimes and there are a lot of ants and folk names to work around.
Sincerely,
Canadant

Re: Quick Tetramorium ID method
I've found it can be tricky without getting up close, at least with the ***** eye. If they are stinging their prey thats one way, I thought ant was tetramorium, once I got her under a magnifying lens it was Tapinoma sessile.
