What I believe to be a Formica Fusca, Please confirm. Caught them both August 15 2015, Nova Scotia.
This one is a bit smaller but I think she is a the same.

What's weird is this year I caught 3 Formica Fusca queens and none of them layed

Yeah also I am pretty sure this is F.fusca or something pretty close to it.

I noticed your Formica fusca Queen had brownish legs, Mine are completely shinny black.

She turned out to be a Formica subsericea queen.
