#1 queen(s)
This next girl is 7mm. She absolutely would not cooperate with me lol but these are the best I took so far...

Lasius umbratus is one of the easier social parasites to keep: http://antfarm.yuku.com/topic/19628#.WUWRqNwpCUlxTNxANTMANx wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 3:14 pmSo they are Formica....alright! Just caught a 3rd when I was getting in my car. And the Lasius...is she a parasite?

Also, the Formica...if there was another species you would say, what would it be? I will have to double check when I get back home but I don't think recall seeing a petolie (I know I spelt that wrong...). I may have just not looked hard enough

All ants have petioles, and I can see hers in the third picture.
The pallidefulva group is difficult to identify without a lot of detail. The four most likely species are F. dolosa, F. pallidefulva, F. incerta, and F. biophilica.

Oh okay. Like I said I may have just overlooked it but I will double check them when I get home. I'll also see if I can identify where the hairs are located. Once again I appreciate your help. For some reason I was thinking some ants didn't have any LOL. I guess because they're just not as prominent as what some ants are

Re: 2 more queens needing ID...
Also could you check out this video and see if you can tell me what species this is? I called her from her nest just to see what species she is and put her back a couple days ago. I couldn't get a decent picture cuz she wouldn't sit still and I didn't want to hold on to her too long. I believe it to be a Lasius species.

Re: 2 more queens needing ID...
Pictures and a measurement are kind of important. The quality of videos is generally pretty low.

Yeah I know but like I said I didn't want to keep her but just a couple minutes and she wouldn't sit still for a picture. She was also roughly around 8 - 10 mm I would say. Probably closer to 10. The queen in the video that is. I tried getting pictures at first but she just absolutely wouldn't stop moving. You don't have to watch the video if you don't want to and I'll just try and get a worker from the nest and get pictures that way.
