Oregon queen, thought to be Camponautus

Caught this beauty. She is about 1.5 cm long. Quite red with some black.Image

We cannot see the picture, it shows up as just a gray circle.

Probably a permission error. You're using google photos, so I would add it to a shared album and embed the image URL from said album.

She does appear to be a Camponotus sp. for sure...as for an ID, I'll leave that to someone with more knowledge of your area. She is beautiful though!

No better pictures needed, but for an ID to the species level I want a few more (top, face, maybe another side) This is Camponotus. I would almost like to say Camponotus vicinus, though I'm not entirely sure.

I think either way I'm gonna have to let her go. I don't have time or patience to raise a camponautus colony. So y'all know what's flying in oregon?
