I just found her, about an hour ago (10pmish) she is about 1\2in long or 8mm (is that correct?) long. ABILENE TX USA

Could you provide us with more clearer pictures; preferably where we could see her head from the bird's eye view?

You're correct. The measurements in millimeters he gave need to be checked.

Sorry I forgot to post the pics :D but look she already has 2 eggs, and I have only had her for only 3 days. I tried looking her up on antweb.org but I couldnt find one that matched.

Wow, she's a beautiful specimen. I want a Camponotus species terribly bad lol. I'll get one (or more :D ) in due time.

She will be my 2nd, I just realized that my 1st will be 1yr old on Sun, March 26. Here is a pic of her and some workers.
