Good news! she layed eggs and now she is caring for her own brood. By the way how do you take a picture in google photos because I'm on monitor.

You just take a photo with your phone or camera, then upload them to Google Photos and post the shareable link.Angelants2012 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 7:01 pmGood news! she layed eggs and now she is caring for her own brood. Ok, just know there's a fair number of species that look like fire ants but aren't. But if fire ants are common in your area, you're likely correct.Angelants2012 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:47 pmhttps://www.google.com/search?q=fire+ant+queen+with+eggs&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjIo5L_l_6CAxUFMVkFHbrLDGsQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=fire+ant+queen+with+eggs&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQAzoECCMQJzoICAAQgAQQsQM6BQgAEIAEOgoIABCABBCKBRBDOg0IABCABBCKBRBDELEDOgYIABAIEB5Q5QdY-z5gh0RoAHAAeACAAWWIAc0IkgEEMTYuMZgBAKABAaoBC2d3cy13aXotaW1nwAEB&sclient=img&ei=GC5yZci3O4Xi5NoPupez2AY&bih=704&biw=1600#imgrc=_6oUtUiYncc_QMantperson24 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 7:11 amYou just take a photo with your phone or camera, then upload them to Google Photos and post the shareable link.Angelants2012 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 7:01 pmGood news! she layed eggs and now she is caring for her own brood. Sorry, I didn't know how to upload pictures to the google photos because I don't want to share any information to the public so yeah. But I think she is a fire queen ant.
Also, she only has two larvae which I am worried about because they aren't growing as fast as a normal fire ant colony. Is the queen unfertilized or is she just preparing for hibernation?antperson24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 9:07 amOk, just know there's a fair number of species that look like fire ants but aren't. Sorry, this is late. If she is indeed Solenopsis, as long as she stays warm, she doesn't need to hibernate. If she has shed her wings, she is likely fertile. Also, be sure she is kept in the dark.Angelants2012 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 9:18 amAlso, she only has two larvae which I am worried about because they aren't growing as fast as a normal fire ant colony.
