These photos are old and the colony has now shifted somewhere else so i wont be able to get any more photos of the queen
Worker size is about 6 mm
Queen size: ~12 mm
They love to live in relatively dry nests.
ARE POLYGENOUS
Pupae dont have cocoons

Location : Delhi, India
Ants I have-
camponotus compressus colony- the shadow warriors.
Pls just let me have a tetramorium colony

The workers resemble Tetramorium quite a bit, but the queens do not. Further more, Tetramrium is pleometrophic, but not polygenous. Sorry I don't know what she is, but I'm sure someone else will be able to help.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Just realized, that's probably Monomorium.

If it helps, they are not much interested in honey as they are in for insects and are rather speedy

I don't know what it is, workers rresemble many species but the queen resembles none of the genera I know that resembles the workers. You may have to ask on Formiculture. It may even be possible it's a new species. To me the workers resemble Tetramorium, Aphaenogaster and Pheidole but the queen more resembles Monomorium and Trichomyrmex. From what I know, most Asian species of Tetramorium are semi-claustral.

Okay, so I have done some research, and here is my conclusion: Monomorium indicum.

It could be. I guess i was off with the measurements as i didnt have a scale to check the sixe with and i just got the estimate from the memory. I will check the worker size and if it matches ill go with that
Thanks alot :D

Oh, I forgot about the measurements! Well, either you were off with your measurement by 3mm or I was off with my ID. Because Monomorium indicum workers are only 3 mm long. No offence, but I think you were off with your measurement. Because compared to the rim of the pot the workers don't look 6mm long.
