Hello Guys, I found a group of 7 Queens the past September 20th in Mississauga, 2022, in the pictures you can see 2 Queens, the messure is about 0.7 to 0.9 CM. Both are very shy, by characteristic, for sure are Lasius, but I need to Identify because at same day I got one very different, you can see that one has more dark the other one, for that reason I need you support in this subject, it is possible that must be different families or is the same lasius but with a variant of color?. I Add a picture below, I appreciate your help...

The rare one:

The common one wit the other 5:

interesting, maybe the yellow "rare" one is Lasius pallitarsis and the "common" one is neoniger?

but in the antmap you cant see information about Lasius Pallitarsis in Canada, in the other hand the Lasius Brevicornis has some similitudes with the rare one, but is confusing for me understand how to see the differences and identify...

The common one is defiantly Lasius neoniger.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Thanks for answer me, I confuse with Niger, Neoniger and Americanus in this genre.

I'm not sure how to id L. americanus, but L. neoniger is only in north America, were as L. niger is only in Europe.
