ah... So i maybe discovered a new color variant? Will it still be a already discovered species or a new species?
Camponotus nicobarensis do have multiple color variants depending on location. Some populations are darker and some are lighter.
hmmm.... could be, she btw has a black thorax with a slight tint of red near the wing scars

if viewed in sunlgith the abdomen is red-orange, and her head is red i think
workers are black i think while more recently eclosed ones are redder

I caught an unknown ant yesterday, she was 100% fertilized, she landed on somebody and when i caught her she got just 1 wing.

I just thought they reminded me of them. They could possibly be C. angusticollis but not very certain on this id.

she looks like very dark version of C. nicobarensis.

you wont really see alot of redness in the pics. her head is still quite dark in sunlight or bright light.
