Please help me id this ant I found in a log

Hi, I was chopping logs then I broke a log in half and I saw a big ant, I believe she is a queen ant. She was almost alone except some smaller ants that where in the log as well but quickly hid away.
I decided to attempt to save the queen but I don't know what to do, as you can see in the images below, I tried to replicate the environment where I found her, but she didn't dig in the wood this night. I also put a bit of cotton with water mixed with sugar to help her sustain.

When: 21/08/2022 17:00
Where: Small country house in the south-west of France, near Cahors
Size: 1.5cm
Behaviour: She does not seem to move, maybe she is scared or sick ?

Probably Camponotus pennsylvanicus. No she is not sick, queen ants don't move much. Also your best off putting her in a test tube setup, here is how you do that:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfzUILyCz8o&t=13s&ab_channel=AntsCanada
Hope this helps. ;)
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Thanks ! I just put her in a test tube just like in the video, along some bit of apple, I wonder if this is ok? the video said to not feed her but since she don't have her wings to eat, I'm afraid she'll starve to death.
I also noticed that she is missing one leg, is there any way to help her?
Should I put her in the dark?

The one leg should be ok. It is a good thing you fed her, but you don't need to feed her anymore. Also you should put her in the dark. :)

That's great! Just know that Camponotus are slow growers (1 1/2 to 2 months egg to worker).
