Size: 6mm
When: July 23, 2022, 3pm
Where: North Eastern Kentucky, forest, crawling on the rim of my pool.
Appearance: She is mostly black with hints of brownish red near joints. Her thorax is more long than thick, the thickest point being where her wing scars are.
Behaviour: She was very calm and didn't really move much.

I do apologize for my lack of a macro lens. *sigh* I am SO excited to have her as I've been trying for three years to locate and correctly identify a fertilized queen. She is my second catch - the first one being a failure. I really just want to know what she is so I can be sure to provide her and her family with what they need to thrive.
Thank you so much!!

T. Immigrans or Pheidole pilifera. I am leaning towards pilifera due to size.
