I found this queen ant wondering across some concrete around 8:30 A.M. She is 6mm long and I think she might be Myrmica.

Queen Ant Identification.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Re: Queen Ant Identification.
She has laid two eggs! This might not seem like much, but I am really exited as this is the first time I have ever gotten a Myrmica queen to lay eggs! They always get stuck in the honey and die, or just not eat and starve to death. But finally it is starting to go well!
