She has six larvae, and six eggs. One of the larvae is very big, probably half the way to maturity.
When my larvae are 6mm-7mm in the fetal position, they are getting ready to spin a cocoon

The Odontomachus queen I have in only a test tube refuses to eat the honey I give her, and she places drit on the honey to absorb it. How do I feed her?
Keeping:

• Cataulacus granulatus x2
• Camponotus parius
• Odontomachus sp x4
• Pheidole prava x1
• Pseudoneoponera sp x1

Odontomachus don't need honey during the founding stage.

Should I then only feed them protein?

Yes. You may try again when she has cocoons, my large colonies love guarding nectar sources. I recommend not giving them any for a few weeks after workers. That way you will for sure have some drinking.

Alright, no nectar only protein for now got it. And how about jelly, I plan on getting jelly to see what my C. parius colony thinks of it, should I also avoid feeding that to them for a while?

They do not go after sweets in small colonies due to the other species that use them

So I would need to wait even longer for the jelly?

Or until workers. Avoid sweets until workers or cocoons.

Alright, I'll wait until workers just in case. Are there any other ant species you know of who act the same?
