Hello Everyone,
I am requesting help identifying two queen ants of the same species that I found wondering around inside my house during the last weekend of May 2022. They were found around 4PM or 5 PM in the afternoon in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. I'm not sure when their actual nuptial flight took place because I never saw it. I do know that it took place outdoors, perhaps in my back yard, or a neighbor's back yard. Both queens are 6mm in length and dark brown in color. Both have stubbornly decided to keep their wings, and both are fertile. I did my best to get good photos of these queens, but they are small, and I only have my iphone and a cheap macro lens to work with. Any help you could give me in identifying them would be appreciated. Thanks.
