Camponotus Floridanus similar species ID

I brood boosted a cocoon found being carried on a wire fence near an urban area, which I assumed was C. Floridanus, turns out, it’s not. The head is much darker, and she seems to blend in pretty well, and be accepted. She is 10mm, and I do believe she is something around Camponotus tortoganus or Camponotus inequalis, but I would like confirmation. I was surprised that she was found during winter, when these species typically go into diapause.
