Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

The image is not working. Try uploading an image to imgur then posting the link here.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

Maybe Aphenogaster rudis? I don’t know the queen size for them, but location fits.antperson24 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 10:30 amShe is 1/2 centimeters long and has wings.

Aphenogaster have a ratter unique gaster and I do not believe she is one. Possible genera include: Temnothorax, Myrmica, Myrmecina and Stenamma. I would suggest having a look at antmaps.org to see the exact species in your region. Also be careful, they sting!SolenopsisKeeper wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 1:08 pmMaybe Aphenogaster rudis? They may be small(Acorn ants), they are brutal(Saw some taking out some large prey items once)AM1C39 wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 1:42 pmAphenogaster have a ratter unique gaster and I do not believe she is one. I am guessing she is some sp. of Myrmica.
