Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

The image is not working. Try uploading an image to imgur then posting the link here.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

Maybe Aphenogaster rudis? I don’t know the queen size for them, but location fits.

Aphenogaster have a ratter unique gaster and I do not believe she is one. Possible genera include: Temnothorax, Myrmica, Myrmecina and Stenamma. I would suggest having a look at antmaps.org to see the exact species in your region. Also be careful, they sting!

They may be small(Acorn ants), they are brutal(Saw some taking out some large prey items once)

Thanks! This map will be so helpful!

I am guessing she is some sp. of Myrmica.
