6mm exactly. I looked up Asian needle ants. And the gaster on the workers seems to be much smaller. That's also very close as well. Only thing is, there are no real accounts of that species being in America. So, if it is that species, then it would be a confirmation of them here. Here is ant web, where I even got the idea of that species. I knew it was ponera, just not sure on species.
