Hi, AC FORUM. I´ve found a colony of these ants in my back yard and i´m sure that i caught a queen of these spp. two weeks ago.

Location: Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Place of capture: In my back yard.
Measure: 2mm- 2,6 mm
Possible queen of this spp that i caught: 9mm- 10 mm
Characteristics: They ignore the another ant colonies of another spp. that live in my back yard. They´re fast and they have like "ant higways" that measure 2 to 3 metres. Also, they have their nest in a fissure on the floor and their mounds on the ground are plane.

Possible ant spp.: Solenopsis spp. (Invicta, etc), Monomorium (pharanois, etc) (i don´t think so), Tapinoma Sesille or the Argentinian Ant.

I Await your response,
Shadow Ants.

Could you please take close up clear photos of the head, mesosona, petiole node(s) (between mesosoma and gaster), gaster and antennae of the queen. Including length, we can then usually give you an accurate identification.
