well you can try but you do risk a lot of lives. You can give them away via the GAN project. But pls don't release them, solenopsis is a VERY invasive species.
No you can’t sell invasive species(ILLEGAL). And no, merging in the USA is not a risk, as most colonies have several queens per colony in their invaded habitat. They need a proper formicarium when merging though. They can’t be in a test tube Becuase dominant queens will push other queens out, and they will move to another chamber, so you need a hybrid nest mini when they can’t Iive in tube any longer or dirt nest.


Steps to merge
1. Grow colonies to one thousand workers (tubes max)
2. Get a dirt nest or an artificial nest with multiple chambers.
3. Make both colonies move at the same time
4. Observe to make sure no worker fighting occurs
5. If a queen dies, it is ok if one(at least) remains
