Trying to help my 10 year old child identify this Ant. Caught after nuptial flight in May. This picture was taken in August and had 2 workers. Another picture was taken recently of Ant. Now my child has 4 total workers in early Nov.

Thanks for any help or information you can provide.

Please provide pictures, otherwise we cannot provide much help. Please also include the following information to help.

How long is the queen? in mm please.
Where did he catch the queen? Country, Town, forest/park/city/etc.
When did he catch the queen? Morning, Noon, Afternoon, Evening, Night
Describe some of the features of the queen that are hard to see on the pictures.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.
