Hello. I want to get into ant keeping and a few months ago I found these beautiful orange ants while doing a college assignment.

I believe they're a Lasius genus since they match the colour and general shape of the native Lasius.
Queen was a little under an inch long and the workers were a little under 1cm long.
Location found is the Niagara on the Lake region of Ontario, Canada. I observed their nuptial flight on March 24th, 2021. I believe the day was overcast with a small drizzle of rain and their nest was found by a large man made pond.
Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry. Sadly I didn't have my new phone at the time I took them so I didn't have access to a macro lens for better pictures.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Re: And ID needed
Often times, Lasius can be hard to ID without a microscope but from those pictures, it could be Lasius flavus.
