Does anyone know of any winter species?

I’ve been a bit late to start a colony this year and I fear the queens I’ve caught are not going to lay until spring. Would anyone know of any winter species whom of which they have successfully caught queens who have laid broods through winter?

Thankyou

Sadly we don’t get many of those ants around my area I’d like to see them though but thankfully I got lucky and some of my queens had brood.
