I’ve I had this colony for a while. They’re the smallest ants I’ve ever seen in person. My best guess is pharaoh ant, but I honestly have no clue.
I’ve got no clue what these are...

Mid June, I think. She was in Rockville Maryland in my backyard on a hill, already carrying a few brood in her mouth. I’m not sure how fast they matured because I didn’t check on them for a month. They’ve been living in a 100% dry test tube in the light for over a month yet still haven’t moved into the dark, clean, waterfilled tube.

From the pictures, they look a lot like Forelius pruinosis. They could also be some kind or dorymyrmex but I'm not sure. Just to let you know, Forelius will have a population BOOM. They are an extremely fast-growing colony. Ohh and BTW they are stubborn. I tried to move them to a new tube and they wouldn't budge. So if they do move you have to tell me what you did.

I'm glad I was able to help!! I haven't posted on this forum lately but you should check it out. Maybe it will start up again. Search up "Forelius Clan".
