ID Help, Long Island NY, 20th September
I caught this on the 19th or the 20th of September at around 7 AM, Long Island, New York. I apologize for the quality of the photos, I don't have anything with a macro lens. I'm pretty sure I can see wing scars on her, and I'd say she's around 7-9mm long.

Hard for me to tell but kind of looks like a crematogaster sp. to me. Some closer pics would help ik it is hard sometimes.

Of course no problem. I think Batspiderfish likes to give us a chance to try IDs before he does, always a good learning experience for me . I'll make sure to let my mind slow down before posting next time .

Any tips with this queen? I'm new to ant keeping and from what I understand this queen is probably going to hibernate before she starts egg laying. It would be nice to know how much time I have before I need to set up the formicarium, hah.
