Will solenopsis species fly at night
Last night at about 9ish I found what looks like a solenopsis invicta but is more orangish than red. I will try to get a picture soon, but would anyone know what it might be?

Re: Will solenopsis species fly at night
Usually the ones that mostly flies at night are solenopsis geminata but I don't think I'm sure but maybe the answer is in here
Red tropical fire ants(Solenopsis geminata)
Queens:bright red color with black stripes on the abdomen
males:brown with a little black color and a gently red on the middle thorax
worker:bright red
red imported fire ants(Solenopsis invicta)
Queen:dark red in color
males:more on dark brown
Workers:more on dark red
that's all.
