I am pretty sure that this is a queen ant, feel free to tell me otherwise.
Found it at a playground,21/09/2016, 5:00 Hong Kong,China
She was all by herself, can't find other queen ants.
length is 1 cm, not counting the antenna (might be slightly longer, she kept on moving around)
There was a medium sized rain that lasted half a day the day before I found her.
The average humidity was 77% during the day I found her.
My guess is that she is a Lasius niger.
I have a link to some photos I took of her. (not sure if the link works, please inform me)

Im sure it's a queen, but I can tell you that it isn't lasius. I'm not sure the species, but I know it's not lasius.siahweichong64 wrote:I am pretty sure that this is a queen ant, feel free to tell me otherwise.

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Looks like Polyrhachis to me.

Thanks, I try to see if I find anything in that direction. What is worrying me now is that she haven't lay any eggs and I don't if she semi-claustral or fully-claustral. She should be fully-claustral, but I don't know and I don't kill her by accident. I cause her enough stress already.
