Ant identification Odenton, Maryland, United States

I am living in Odenton, Maryland, United States, and i caught this ant at 2:30 PM EST, in a big fallen down tree. It seems larger than other ants that i have seen, and i am wondering if it is a queen. It is roughly 7 mm long. Image Image Image Image Image Image

Tapinoma sessile queen.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

Interesting. Would it be okay to nest them in a formicarium made for carpenter ants?
