Queen Ant Oroville/California/United States of America

This queen ant was found on 2/3/20. I found it while I was digging and not during any nuptial flights. The queen ant is about 4mm in length and the small red workers were about 1mm in length. Any help identifying this ant is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

On a side note, this has nothing to do with the queen I found but I found a colony of small red ants that seems to have super majors. (Major ants with large heads) The minors were about 1/8 of an inch/ 1.2 mm and the majors were about 3/16 of an inch/ 2mm.

not sure if i can see 2 ant petiole nodes (a side shot would fix that) but i would say it's possibly from the genus pheidole, im not from America so i wouldn't be able to get the exact species.

I think you are right. It looks a lot like Pheidole megacephala. Thank you!
