Ant identification please. New to the hobby
Hey all, new to the hobby and im hoping for an ID please. This queen was caught about 3 weeks ago or so and is about 1cm/10mm long and i cant see many specific markers for an ID other than the last segment of her legs are yellow/orange and the brood are already hatching (not sure if thats going to help or not) as you can see the newly hatched ants are tiny, like the size of the queens head and a very light brown. Location is Mackay, Queensland, Australia. Someone said maybe Iridomyrmex SP or Bicknelli, But no one was sure. Any help would be amazing so i know the best wa to look after them.

i'm 95% sure that queen ant belong to the genus iridomyrmex. Wouldn't be able to get the species exact but i would say bicknelli. Heres some pics i found on google of the species.
