hi, So yesterday there was heavy rain i noticed that the trap-jaw ants were flying. I came back to the spot and found this ant. Is it a Queen trap jaw? and if you can identify the exact species that would be nice.

Sorry, that isn’t a queen. Some tips for finding one is looking under leaves, and rotting wood. To confirm to you have a ueen of this species, you can shine a light under them, revealing their 3 extra ocelli used in nuptial flight. This species is very difficult to keep and need daily protein feedings and are semi-claustral
