Queen ant identification

Hello, so I caught this queen a few months ago and I would like to get some confirmation on the species, I would say this is Lasius Niger but since this is my first colony and first take on identifying I'm not sure. I caught it in Zagreb, Croatia. Sorry on bad pictures I hope they are clear enough. Also, I want to ask if it is possible that they are in hibernation since they are very inactive last couple of weeks as in not moving much, and should I already feed them (I put them speck of honey, but should they get some protein food?). I connected them a new test tube with fresh water since the old one is almost dry and dirty and I left old one without cover so they would move to new one but they are not moving what's the catch?

Hello. I looked at your photos. Really nice colony you have there. It is definitely a Lasius. As you said, I think it is a Niger. Now with the food, you should probably give them a little drop of honey and maybe a cricket leg or something small with protein. If you see that they are not interested teke it out quickly before it develops mold. Hopefully, this has helped!

Yes, every advice helps, thanks a lot. I will try to put some cricket legs to see if they will want it.
