Hello,
I believe I caught a queen ant. I watched it land and break off it's wings. I have never seen one like this and after watching the identification video I cannot tell which species it is. Knowing my luck it's not even an ant, but if someone could identify the insect I have I would greatly appreciate it. I live in Michigan U.S. and just caught this one last week 9-15-19. Use the links below to see the pictures I took. I am not sure of the measurements.

I believe that's a termite. Not sure if male or female though. Unfortunately to keep termites you need to have both as the male has to be present to constantly fertilize the queen.
