Found this little big beauty before a thunderstorm hit. Only one I saw at all that day, no other species were in flight. She was aggressive towards the cotton when first put into the test tube. She's roughly 18-20mm long, with a pretty large and wide head. Time of day was about 2 pm that afternoon, cloudy and the sun had been out all morning.

Awesome! I was thinking she might be in the Camponotus family with that big head! Thanks for the ID!
