I caught a very small queen on 05/05/2019. She's only about a 1/4 in long. She has already shed her wings and started laying eggs. I have an idea of what species she is, but I wanted to make sure.

She may be Brachymyrmex. Could you get a photo with the flash on? If so, I should be able to verify.NocturnusWolfe wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 2:47 pmI caught a very small queen on 05/05/2019. Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
