Hello. i am a new ant keeper and i just found a queen right outside my house in northern VA, USA. I would like to know what type of ant queen this is, or if it even is a queen at all. I really hope it is a pavement ant queen.

I cant tell from the photo that well but it doesnt look like a queen to me, maybe get another person to answer b4 u come to a conclusion.

Yeah, a clearer picture would be needed to ID but that isn't a queen. I'm gonna throw out Ponera sp. as a guess.
