Please help me identify this species... no need for everyone to write "it's hard to tell from a picture" because I'm well aware of that... but any feedback would be much appreciated... I think I know what it is but I need some "confirmation" before I decide what to do next. Oh, and merry Christmas btw :)

Damn it... it says "board attachment limit has been reached"??? I only just joined today (but been following the YouTube channel for ages), anyone know if it's a problem with the site? Or do new people have some kind of probationary period or something?

Finally.. ugh.. unfortunately that's the only picture I have.. that pic is in focus (insert snorts of derision here lol), but doesn't do justice to the coloration.. it's like the first 2 segments were a tan-ie brown and its gaster was black! Any ideas?

It's hard to tell from that picture...

I'm not too sure but maybe I can point you in the right direction and say, it looks like a Manica sp. Or Myrmica sp.

 I see what you did there #Subtle
Thanks for the reply and Merry Christmas... definately not Myrmica... but Manica is a possibility... either way, both aren't native to my area and yet neither are the particular invasive I had it chalked up as... But I appreciate the input... I just hope I can find the nest or at least another specimen for analysis after the holidays!
