Ive kept this queen for about 2 weeks but it still havent layed any eggs. It was caught in my garage after a heavy rain in indonesia. It is the biggest queen ive ever caught measuring at exactly 0.9 Inches. It has a big red head,
brownish black body and a brownish golden with black stripes. I've also once seen a colony of this species in the wild having a really2 big major in the opening of a nest with an extremely large head (about the same size as the queen, but only the head is way larger). Ive also observed wild workers of this species drinking or maybe eating who knows what from a small papaya tree leaves(perhaps tending to some sort of aphid species). The 1 queen Im currently keeping is placed in a big test tube setup with only cotton and water. It still has wings on it and it likes to tear of bits of the tissue paper thats blocking it from going out of the test tube. Im not sure if its semi-claustral or not since i dont know what species this is. It also made a lot of waste inside the test tube.
I will try to post the picture asap, but for now, this is the only information i can give you.
Any help is appreciated.
