Just found, Brisbane in SE Queensland, Australia. We just had some rain in the last week, two good storms, second one just 2 days ago after a really long dry spell. High winds last couple of days as well with warm days. Found her on a footpath in a park with only half of one wing left attached.
Unfortunately my iPhone camera didn't want to focus correctly. Ruler in shot for size comparison. There are two light bands across her gaster. She looks like an Australian Bull Ant, there are some in the areas, but then she also resembles some golden tailed sugar ants we also have (which I am so hoping she is one of).
